The distinct 70's vibe is unmistakable but it's not even close to a tired rock theme, this is a personal art; from the amazing keyboards (also played by james, not programmed) pushing you through a twisted abstract wonderland quickly side-stepping over into the solid, disgustingly fast solo/prog all JNI fans have come to crave. Denalavis moves beyond it all by bringing in some beautifully melodic guitar tones which only enhance the brilliance of the past two releases from James; rather than a "moving forward", this feels like his own personal niche is being carved deeper and deeper.

KP James had defined his sound with each release and this is definitely and unmistakably Ivanyi. A driving piece of progressive metal with layered ‘hammond’ style organ mimicking guitar melody and time signature change stabs. Again David Horgan’s flawless technical and tasteful drums mixed perfectly to drive the whole song. Pray Darkly showcases Jame’s amazing guitar skills clearly separating him from the many daily bedroom releases.

Christopher Sellers Walk to the top of the hill where the storm clouds gather, push open the intricately carved wooden door to enter this lush and majestic soundscape - architected by one of the countries premiere progressive artists. The music on this latest EP is dense with quality and detail, rewarding careful and repeated listening. Jame's artistry as a guitarist and composer is maturing like a fine bottle of red, which Gaahl would partake of before an extended inanimate commune with Satan himself. Favorite track: Terraform Diminution.
